The heat of a 3-way bulb requires a shade with adequate space for heat circulation-both on top and the sides. |

Should I remove the clear shade wrap?
ABSOLUTELY!! The wrap serves to protect your new shade until you get it home. Failure to remove this covering causes heat build-up and hastens deterioration of the fabric. |

Can the lining be replaced?
Not usually...only in very rare instances. When your lining deteriorates, the outer fabric is well on its way to shade heaven. |
